Woman Suffers Severe Injuries in 2 Crash on the 67

RAMONA – A woman suffered severe injuries this morning and had to be rescued from a vehicle following a two-car crash on state Route 67 in Ramona, police said.

The crash, involving a truck and a compact car, was reported shortly before 8:40 AM on state Route 67 near Peace Valley Lane.

Firefighters responded to the scene and freed a woman who was trapped in one of the vehicles.

The victim, whose age was not immediately available, was taken to a hospital for treatment of critical injuries.

Both directions of SR-67 were blocked following the crash and the lanes remained closed as of 10:00 AM.

The circumstances leading up to the crash were under investigation.
