Matthew Majd Biography
Matt is the Managing Attorney at the San Diego Injury Law Center and leads the firm’s Personal Injury and Employment Law divisions. Matt specializes in personal injury and employment law. In 2024, Matt created the firm’s employment law division which has obtained over $1 Million in settlements it’s first year. For employment law, Matt primarily focuses on retaliation, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination. Matt has settled millions of dollars in both personal injury and employment law cases and is an experienced litigator. He also has experience in personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and premises liability. Matt previously worked at a national defense firm where he served as second chair in a three-week jury trial. Matt has trial experience in both state and federal courts, most recently serving as first chair in a seven-week jury trial.
Matt earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2021, with a concentration in Civil Litigation. During law school, he was a competitor in the school’s mock trial academy and moot court team, winning Third Best Oralist in the USD Alumni Torts Moot Court Competition. Matt was a judicial extern for Magistrate Judge William V. Gallo in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. Prior to law school, Matt obtained his B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Law from the University of California, San Diego.
In his free time, Matt enjoys volunteering at the First Presbyterian Church soup kitchen, assisting as a judge in mock trial tournaments, spending time with his puppy Ryder, and being with his family or by the beach.
