Vehicles Struck by Rocks

RANCHO BERNARDO – An investigation is underway after several vehicles were struck by rocks while traveling on Interstate 15 in the Rancho Bernardo area.

At around 10 PM Sunday, the California Highway Patrol received reports of at least eight vehicles being hit by flying rocks on the northbound side of I-15.

The rocks caused cracked windshields, roofs and hoods.

No injuries were reported.

The reports happened about 24 hours after the CHP received reports of similar rock attacks on the same stretch of the freeway.

The CHP is urging other victims to contact them.
